Pain can present from discomfort related to muscles, joints, and connective tissue which can be relieved with Remedial Massage.
Remedial Massage targets specific injuries and pain to help relieve muscle tension, bring the body’s joints into full range of motion, and to gain better mobility throughout the body.
It will also improve circulation which increases oxygenation to promote healing.
We offer this in 30, 60 and 90 minute treatments.
During this treatment time, we will discuss the issues you have come in to see us for, and what else may be factoring in on them. We will always look at the body as a “whole”. Just because you have muscle tension through your lower back, doesn’t necessarily mean that is the cause of your pain.
Here at Libellula, we don’t believe in the “No Pain No Gain” mentality. We use a mixture of techniques including: Deep Tissue, Stretching, Myofascial Release, Trigger Points, and sometimes even Myofascial Cupping to help get the best results. We are always learning and expanding our techniques to have more options as massage treatments are not a one size fits all.
While massage is generally based around the body and relieving muscle tension, we believe in the whole.
Remedial Massage is an umbrella for many varied techniques.
Remedial Massage can also help to relieve tension, stress, anxiety, promote a good night’s sleep, and in general, lifts your mood by assisting in the release of serotonin and/or endorphins.
How often should you get a Remedial Massage?
Well this will depend on what the issue is, how long you’ve had it, and what else is going on. This is all discussed within your treatments and reassessed as we go along.
